I love filling out forms. Yes, probably a defect in my DNA make up, but I do enjoy filling in blanks. So when I found this cool, and FREE garden journal I thought it was perfect! I want to keep track of what we do this year, so that we have a better idea of where to go next year. I’ll be blogging about my adventures, but I’m thinking you are not likely going to care about the PH of my soil, or how many of which of my 6 varieties of tomatoes I planted. I shall spare you that information, and log it in the journal instead! I’m very glad to have found it in the beginning of this journey, so I can journal from day 1.
My Great Grandmother used to journal, things like the weather and how many inches of rain and what she did for the day…I guess that is similar to what I do, here. It seems like an “Old New Englander” thing to do, and I do aspire to be an Old New Englander, and hopefully a woman, as fine as my Great Grandmother!

I’m wondering how you planted your seedlings. It looks like newspaper wrapped around soil. Is there a trick to it? it seems like a great way to recycle news papers and garden at the same time. I think my daughter would like to try this, she’s all about recycling.
Here is the link to the post that I talk about planting the seeds. There is a link to the video on how to make those little paper pots. Making the cups started out fun, got tedious and then became an obsession. It definitely saved money over buying peat pots. They are biodegradable so you can just plant them right in the ground, which is great for the veggies who don’t like their roots disrupted, which happens when you remove them from the little plastic posts.
