I make tools, for a living. I run an online business that sells tools to people who make glass beads. It’s something I sort of stumbled into, which grew from my love for working with glass. Normally my role is to keep up the online store, customer service, advertising, ordering and the daily runnings of a business on the administrative end. Well, I recently committed to doing a trade show, or sorts, out in California in early August! So, I’m getting a bit more hands on, to help catch up for the show.
Dad and I used to make all the tools together, but the business has grown, Hubby and I had the baby, and my dad semi-retired to work for me full time. He usually does all the manual work now. It was kind of nice be back making them again.
Mom and I stole off for a couple hours today to check out some antique stores (after all, it can’t be all work and no play). What a great deal that was! There is a store going out of business that had a bunch of 8′ fence sections! We bought them out! Mom and Dad are lining their lawn, where it meets the woods, with them, and I’m lining my garden, where it meets the driveway with them. Those projects will wait until early fall when the weather is cooler and more comfortable for manual labor, but the price of $10.00 a section could not be passed up! I’m so excited.
I also found a wonderful little casserole dish, which is a great shade of Yellow! It was only $6.00!! Yes, today was a bargain day! I’ll have to wait until tomorrow to show you a picture because I had camera issues today…batteries are not endless.
The sweater has one arm and the button hole piece in the front on one side! We’ll see what tomorrow brings for that project.
